Pageant Bash Boards...
Before I talk about this topic, I need to make it VERY clear that I have NEVER, and will NEVER post on this disgusting board. There are many of them and they still exist..
It doesn't matter if you compete in natural, glitz, or interview pageants... You can be featured on one of these boards. These bash boards also exist for cheerleading, dance.. you name it. These forums, if you will, are places where you can post anonymously about an event, person, or child. That is until the board owner turns on the IP addresses.. After which, the basher can be traced.
Not always, but most of the time the bash threads start out very innocently. Normally with a "Who do you think will name the _______ Pageant?" After that, all hell breaks loose. There have been racist comments, disgusting comments about a child's appearance or weight, the list could go on for days... People actually have the time to sit behind a screen and say evil things about others. I could think of a million and one things they could be doing to make better use of their time..
"SF finally realized that KJ is an ugly troll brat that can't win a national. Good luck selling your atroshious clothes. Trashy kid trashy family good riddens you CRAZY bi*&^. Keep KJ in the circus honey. -- Anonymous"
The bashers commonly use the contestants initials, as seen above. Like this makes their comments any better. Often times these people can not even spell to save their lives. This shows the kind of people they are.
My best advice to those even thinking of going to look for these boards- DON'T.. They are not worth your time and energy. If you go back and say something nice or defend a person, the bashing will only get worse. The only way to take credit away from these boards is to not go on them AT ALL!!! You can not argue with STUPID.. and those who bash children are just that..
I had to post this because I have seen so much on Social Media.. It's getting bad and it NEEDS to stop!

A pageant is only as good as the girls they have representing them...
I know it has been a while but I wanted my first blog back to be a good one!
A pageant system is only as good as the queens they have representing them! I fully believe this! A titleholders job is to REPRESENT their system. People have very different ideas of what that actually means. To me, it means showing up to state pageants, making appearances, doing volunteer service, and recruiting girls to participate in the system. I have seen systems grow and flourish while others fade away because of this.
Some pageants require appearances. I happen to love that. It shouldn't be necessary, but in today's world of girls with multiple titles, it is necessary. I don't have a problem with one or two titles, as long as you represent both fully.
My biggest pet peeve of all is girls who only represents their titles until the national competition and then do not wear their crown again until they crown their successor.. (If they even care to do so) I was guilty of this in the past, but I have matured and realized that when I won and signed contracts, I made a commitment. FOR A YEAR of service, not just until nationals.
Appointed titles are difficult.. I completely understand, but they should be looked at in the same prestige as a title that had an actual competition. YOU were chosen to represent a system. You chose to become that system's mouthpiece.
To those who dedicate their year to service, I applaud you! You are the true meaning and definition of pageantry. To those that don't... Just remember this.. Your first runner up or even the girl who didn't make that top group would kill for the crown and sash you wear. PROVE why you deserve the title and why YOU were the right choice.
Off my soapbox for now...
